The story

More was not the answer. Different was.

My journey into gifted education did not begin on a national stage. It began at my own kitchen table, watching the spark in my own child begin to dim in a system that prioritized pace over depth. I realized then that more was not the answer. Different was.

That personal moment became a professional calling. After 15 years in gifted education as a classroom teacher, curriculum designer, SEP instructor, virtual gifted educator, center-based gifted teacher, and now gifted coordinator, I founded EverCurious Minds to build the learning community I had been searching for.

This is not a center where gifted students get extra worksheets. It is a place where they are deeply understood, genuinely challenged, and surrounded by intellectual peers who think the way they do.

Gifted learners are not the students who have it easy. They are the students who need something different, and they deserve educators who understand that difference.

Why EverCurious Minds exists

Because doing fine is not the same as being challenged.

Many gifted children spend their school days waiting, masking, underachieving, or being quietly misunderstood. They may earn strong grades while losing their curiosity. They may be labeled too much because their intensity, humor, or questions do not fit neatly into a standard classroom pace.

I have seen this as an educator. I have lived it as a parent. And I built EverCurious Minds because I know these students do not need more work. They need a different kind of learning environment entirely: one with intellectual peers, ability-based challenge, gifted-specific social-emotional support, and adults who genuinely understand how they think and feel.

Every program at EverCurious Minds is built on that belief.
